The World Wrap Masters Denmark returned at the Audi Fredericia in Demark from the 1st – 2nd March 2024. 16 wrappers competed and included 12 men and 4 women who competed against one another with the aim of being crowned the World Wrap Masters of Denmark 2024. Filip Sørensen from Profoli has competed in this competition 3 times and last year came in second place, this year he was crowned the winner!
Filip particularly enjoyed the creative round of the competition which featured competitors wrapping a can, with a theme of “King of Denmark”. Filip stated: “After already competing a few times, of course I had to try again! After coming in second place last year, I knew that my skills had improved so I wanted to try once again. Plus competing in the World Wrap Masters Denmark is always fun, you meet wonderful people and you always learn a lot from your fellow wrappers and of course the judges!”
Maria Terp Holt from BW & Madsen Skilte Reklame came in second place and Katrine Clausen from BSM Reklame came in third place. Both women have competed before, with Maria being crowned the winner of the World Wrap Masters Denmark in 2022 and in third place at the World Wrap Masters Final 2022. Katrine came in third place at the World Wrap Masters Europe in 2023.
During the 2-day competition, the wrappers skills were judged by the competition’s judges, Jesper Sølager from Sunwrap, Rikke Madsen Christiansen from Skilte & Print and Marie Raun Thøgersen from GRAKOM were judges and Ole Sunshine returned as the MC.
Jesper was a previous World Wrap Masters competitor and was the first Dane to become the World Wrap Master of Europe. Jesper commented: “The level of the competition this year was just as high as it was last year. Some previous competitors returned this year and I noticed that they had really improved and developed in their skills and techniques.”
The competition was organised by FESPA Denmark. Michael Brochmann Nielson commented: “This is the third time that FESPA Denmark has organised the World Wrap Masters Denmark, we are proud that it has been warmly received by the wrapping community in Denmark. Before the registration for the competition opened, there was already a waiting list.”
The sponsors of the competition included Antalis, Hexis, Signcom Denmark and Vikiallo. The sponsors supported the competition regarding the vinyl for wrapping, merchandise and products for goodie bags.
Filip now qualifies to compete at the World Wrap Masters Final 2024 taking place at FESPA Global Print Expo 2024 from 21st – 22nd March at the RAI Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Filip will join other winners of regional and international competitions for the opportunity to become the World Wrap Master of 2024.
